Be Positive!

Hi Guys,

It feels so good to write a post after quite a long time. I am going to write about ‘How small things create a big impact?’ This topic is related with two of my earlier posts – Lets have a positive thought and The Butterfly Effect.

Last Thursday morning was a tired one for me. I woke up at 6 am and I was feeling too drowsy. The continuous stretch of late night sleeps was taking its toll. Apart from that, I was also having a different feeling. I didn’t eat properly the previous night and it was creating some trouble. So I started to get ready.

I opened my mail inbox. My brother had replied to the mail I sent him the previous day. The mail was full of positives. It boosted my activities. He had advised me to continue with my positive momentum. So, I was beginning to experience some change.

Then, I went to my college and as I started to walk, I saw two little kids, One 5 year old girl and her little sister. They were so cute and were coddling each other. Their face was innocent and they were not worrying about anything surrounding them. They were so happy, the kind of happiness only children can have.

Observing them for 10 seconds, my whole mood changed. I even forgot that I was not feeling well. Two small things created a big impact in my mind and the whole day was just awesome. I learned a lot of new things.

Just small things create big impact. Butterfly effect, also called as Chaos Theory states the same – The flutter of a butterfly wings can cause a typhoon at some place half the way around the world after a 1000 years. This has been observed to be true in all the things.

So, starting out with a positive attitude will impact us to do good things and they will make the upcoming things successful.

Positive Thought: Whenever you destroy a Spider's web, it doesn't fall down and die. It again moves to a new location and start building its next web!
So, each morning find something positive. The day may be a very bad one, but certainly there must be some positives, something that you like the most. For instance, observing squirrels makes my mind peaceful. Similarly, photography makes my mind to concentrate, Reading newspapers also do the same. These are things that can change any bad day for me into a beautiful one.

Certainly everyone has something close to your heart. Involve yourself in that thing. If something bad occurs, don’t worry. Whatever happens, happens for a reason. Certainly something good will happen.

Life's Beautiful!

Hi Guys,

Life’s Beautiful *Conditions Apply. This is the tag line of one of my friends. I have asked him what are those conditions quite some times and he has never given me the answer.

The statement is very true and I think the condition is that you should realize the beautiful things around you and start to enjoy them. Life will be very very beautiful then. I often feel that we fail to notice the things that are beautiful just because they are so small and neglect them.

It was one of those hot summer days today morning and I never expected that there will be a rain. It was sunny till 2 pm and all of a sudden clouds arrived and started to quench the dry earth. The feel was just magnificent. I tried to take some photos and at the end I failed. But when I was taking photos from the windows and doors, the rain water was splashing on face and it was just wonderful. How many of you will consider this wonderful?

Another thing I enjoy always is the appearance and behaviour of tiny creatures. Watching them creates peace and happiness in my mind. I watch squirrels almost every day. The way they roam around actively, the way they quarrel among themselves for food, the way they climb and jump or in short the things they do in order to survive amazes me. I enjoy watching birds, butterflies fly. Have you watched spiders spin their web? It puts in a lot of hard work in that and if the web is destroyed it builds one newly. Also watching these creatures make me realize that life is interconnected and we can’t survive without relying on each other.

Again lets go back to my friend, for whom Life’s Beautiful. I think Life’s Beautiful to him, just because he is full of positive thoughts. There were lot of times when he has sowed positive thoughts inside me. I think the positive thoughts have made him quite philosophical these days. This is what he was saying about my blogging today morning,

‘Not everyone has the power to make people read words written. It's something which can come only when you really mean something from deep inside your mind. This flame will keep u go a very long distance of achievement in your life’

I think he is a far better writer than me. Not just this, he is very philosophical about a lot of things. I have heard him speak about relation between Job and Hard work, Life and Death and many more things. But, whatever he speaks will be positive and will also fuel positive thoughts into you.

Well, he is my friend Vijay Dinesh, who is currently working in Singapore.

Lessons I learnt Blogging!

Hi Guys,

This is my 100th post and it’s really amazing that I have written 99 posts before this. It all started as a fun and now blogging has become an integral part of my life.

Early Days
I started this blog during the early days of my third semester. I already wrote the history of my blog during the blog’s first birthday. After I started my blog, I was not sure about what to write. I was just writing for the sake of posting something. If you look at my earlier posts, I would have written a lot about cricket and nothing else. There were nearly nil readers and it was maddening. Some of my classmates really helped then. They would read all the things I write and they cherished my efforts. I learnt the lesson – Everything appears simple, but nothing is easy. Consistent hard work and dedication is needed.

Turning Point
Three months passed so and the thought of quitting the blog was slowly getting into me. I didn’t write for 3 weeks and suddenly some funny incidences that took place around me inspired me to write Animal Week. That night, my brother called me and he was very happy with what I wrote. He said it was too different from my previous posts and it was very captivating, despite the mistakes I had in my writing (he still does correct my mistakes and thanks for helping me bro). That night, he spoke with me for an hour about the post and how it could be improved and at the end of the conversation, there was a new spark inside me. So, I learnt the lesson – Never Give Up. You can never succeed without failing a few times.

Concentrating on Other Things
Another 5-6 months passed so. I was getting feedbacks from my brother and friends. But other than that there were not many readers. I started refining the appearance of my blog. I added my blog to many blog directories. I started following others and they started to follow me. The number of visitors started increasing day by day. Also reading other blogs meant that I learnt a lot from them. The lesson I learnt this time – You always need help from others to survive, no matter how strong you are.

Spreading Information
Around my blog’s first birthday, I came to know about the working of Nitrous Oxide boosters and wrote about it after some research. It was widely welcomed and it is one of the most popular posts till now. During the monsoon season, there was flood in the Vaigai River and the river was flooding after nearly 10 years. I decided to write on that and it was an instant success. All the visitors were native people of the city, but now residing outside the city. Some of the posts about much-admired movies were also instant hits and they continue to remain at the top of the most read posts. Lesson – Write about things people wish to know. They visit expecting new things.

So, I am writing my 100th post today. Thanks for all your support and keep supporting.

Lets have a positive thought!

Hi Guys,

So, do you like the new look of my blog? I thought of making the blog look more simple and elegant. Also, I wanted to emphasize my readers to ‘Go Green’ and fight against Global Warming, hence I included the picture on the right.

As I woke up this morning an interesting thought came across my mind. This was much in resemblance with the thought that was disturbing my mind last week. The similitude is that they are about negative thoughts.

Changing Seasons
Last week the sun’s intensity started increasing. It was a very quick transition from winter to summer. All the dew and cold were rapidly replaced by sweat and thirst. This created the question in me, ‘When will the summer pass?’ Suddenly another reflection came to me. What will people think in different seasons?

Summer – Ah, it’s too hot! Days are scorching hot. When will the intensity decrease?
Winter – It’s damn cold and the climate is too bad. We can’t even get out in the early hours.
Rain – The roads are swampy and dresses get spoiled. When will the rain subside?

Plus in the preceding days, you can hear people saying that the climate is bad even before the beginning of the season and the actual season might be even worse.

Similarly after the season, you can hear people saying that the climate is still bad.

All these thoughts reflect on the negative side. Look at the positives. Tolerating swampy roads is much easier than tolerating drought. We are living comfortably in a tropical region. Equatorial and polar regions are much worse. We start to wait for the next season when one season starts. Rather than that we can accept the changes and work in accordance with those.

Waiting for weekend
Today being the first day of the week, I woke up with the usual thought of ‘When will Sunday come?’ As the week starts, we get a feeling when the next weekend will come and towards the weekend we assume we are tired of the works we did that week and wait the weekend. Again the same cycle starts.

Today I thought why don’t we accept the things and act accordingly. Instead of thinking of the next weekend, why don’t we start thinking about the things we are going to do this week? It will make us to work towards a target and it will boost our cheerfulness. It worked brilliantly today. Had full of energy in the morning and the day was great, unlike the usual Mondays. I look forward to things I’m going to learn this week and after all the things I’m going to use the weekend to refresh myself.

So, positive thoughts mean a positive frame of mind and it gives an incredible feeling. They even make a bad day appear as a good one. A negative thought destroys the feeling and makes even the wonderful days, gloomier ones.

P.S: A different try. Don’t know if all will like it, but please do post your true comments and it will help me to write better. What I’ve written are just the widespread thoughts and they don’t mean anyone in particular.
